On Tuesday afternoon as I left work and headed for home, I was reminded (by my gas light) that I needed a fill-up before hitting the road...running on empty. I drove to the full-service Sunoco on Church St. (near the corner market and across the street from the pizza place) only to realize I had left the house that morning without my wallet. The young man who was attending the gas station offered to give me enough gas to get home to Northampton -- out of his own pocket. I was touched by his kindness, understanding that not everyone would have been so generous. I made it home safely that day, and have since reimbursed him.
Now has Dunkin Donuts!!!!
Reasonably priced for full service, and the service itself was excellent. I plan to get gas here on my return home.
If you happen to find yourself in need of car fuel in the neighborhood, I'd like to recommend bringing your business to this Sunoco. It feels rare at times to encounter such unexpected kindness, but reassuring that people of this teenager's caliber still exist.
